The mysterious editors have ways for Chester to produce realistic paintings, more so than the usual depictions of the Moon's surface back then by taking him ‘on location’. What are their ultimate goals and how does a painter of celestial landscapes like Chester figure in their plans?
“Original, deftly crafted, and a ‘must have’ on the reading lists of all dedicated science fiction fans, Chester’s Moonscape by author/storyteller Eric T. Reynolds is an impressive call-back to the early years of sci-fi fiction themed adventure by a novelist whose authentic flair for the kind of narrative driven style raises his novel to an impressive level of literary excellence. An absorbing and fun read from cover to cover, Chester’s Moonscape is especially and unreservedly recommended for personal and community library Historical Science Fiction collections.”

“This captivating narrative seamlessly blends sf, historical fiction, and environmental issues. The story unfolds with a compelling hook, as Kansas University geography professor Katie Robbins, while visiting a cemetery, time travels to 1937. This unexpected journey thrusts her into a local battle against a massive dam-construction project which promises to submerge the entire Blue River Valley. Reynolds impressively combines thorough research, a structured plot, and vivid characters, immersing readers in early twentieth-century Kansas.”

In 1918, a carpenter died in a fall during construction of Mulberry School. It was said he haunted the school ever since. Teachers, students, and staff encountered apparitions after the school's dedication. One teacher knew the victim and welcomed any sign of his existence. Others, however, didn’t. She coped with the loss of her friend and managed to go on with unusual help from the Universe.
“Readers will feel Maggie's sorrow and enjoy the. . .ghost activity, such as pictures moving askew and doors slamming. This is an entertaining read. . .”

The abandoned house in the country--
In a state of decay, its walls have witnessed the triumphs and tragedies of generations.
There's nothing left but memories forgotten.
If you believe that, you haven't been inside. . .
Kayla buys a house in the Flint Hills town of Sycamore Falls, Kansas. The property includes an abandoned house out back. Within its deteriorating walls, she gains insight to the old house’s past, of Sycamore Falls, and perhaps ways to help revitalize the town, which has seen better times.
"Thoroughly engrossing is a story that moves smoothly between eras as the protagonist and others investigate a mystery that draws them to pre-1885 Flint Hills, before Sycamore Falls existed."
--D. Donovan, Senior editor, Midwest Book Review
"The premise is interesting. . .the objects pique the imagination. The effect is like a museum exhibit with artifacts..."
--Historical Novels Review
"Well told, catches a flavor like Clifford Simak's quiet Midwestern quiet SF. It evades the many action-gaudy SF clichés in favor of real-world flavors, and so all the better and more believable for that."
--Gregory Benford, New York Times Bestselling Author
